Too busy to create or prepare entries for the show? Our showday entry competitions mean that there’s something for you to have a go at by simply turning up on the day!
Phillipson’s Dog High Jump
Can your dog jump? Bring your dog along to be part of this crowd favourite showday competition! Classes for small and large dogs and a grandstand full of spectators to celebrate the highs (or heights) make this a must see on showday.
Pet Parade
We're thrilled to have teamed up with Tiny Gardener Pet & Equestrian in 2025 who have given the pet parade a revamp.
Join us on the netball courts at 11 am and enter your pet into one of the many categories for a chance to win fantastic prizes from leading pet care brands like Advocate, Black Hawk, Farmers Mate, Kazoo, PooWee, and Vetsense. Plus, the Best Fancy Dressed Pet will win a book from local legend Alison Lester!
The Pet Pawrade is fun for all ages, and even if you don't win a major prize, Tiny Gardener will have plenty of giveaways throughout the day. Be sure to visit their stall! To get the most out of your pet parade experience you can register your interest here or simply enter on the day.
Fashions on the Field
Dressing your best isn't always your first thought when getting ready to come to the Foster Show but our Fashions competition celebrates the effort you put into your showday outfit. It doesn't have to be a pretty dress or stifling suit, your best or favourite farm wear is ideal to participate this year. Or maybe you've made your own, purchased a sustainable product or supported a local business when choosing your outfit - we'd love to see you on the Fashion Stage no matter your age!

Young Farmers Challenge
The YFC highlights the intricacies of jobs on the land and is a great team event not just for those working on farms. Loads of fun and full of competitive energy, make sure you get in and have a crack with your mates.
Sheaftossing
We’re excited to host the Victorian Championships again in 2025! Don’t miss your chance to have a go and learn this old time skill on showday. With seasoned tossers at the ready to show you the ropes, make sure you sign up to have a go in the Novice and Women's competitions.
Spouse Shout
2024 saw our Inaugural Spouse Shout a success with some great shouting on display! Check out the Iowa State Fair for inspiration and challenge your mates to get up and have a go. This year we've expanded the classes so you can also show off your best Animal Noise impersonation. Sure to be a hoot, dare some mates to have a go, the more the merrier!
Mullet competition
Don't let the summer heat tempt you to trim your glorious locks...we're excited to introduce a mullet competition to our 2025 showday! There'll be classes for ladies, blokes and kids - entry is free and there'll be some great prizes up for grabs thanks to support from our local hairdressers, Southern Sass and Haven Hair Skin and Body.
